The Story

The Meinl Artisan Edition Series String Cajon offers superior sound quality. Its adjustable strings and extra thick wooden sound port ring allow for a wide dynamic range of highs and lows. The 9-Ply, 12mm thick Baltic Birch resonating body produces full, punchy tones that project with clarity and warmth. This cajon also features two sets of eight micro-coiled metal cajon strings, hand wound in the style of master cajon builder José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz, providing a snapping snare effect. Finished with an Indian Heartwood or Rosewood frontplate and a decorative wood inlay, this cajon is made in Spain.
